COVID-19 Protocols

We are excited to re-open our doors. While many things in our world have changed, our team remains committed to your oral health.

A safe and secure environment has always been a key pillar of how we operate. Our practice has always met or exceeded the infection prevent controls of Alberta Health Services and the Alberta Dental Association and College, which are some of most stringent in North America.

In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken additional measures to enhance the existing infection prevention controls we have in place. As a result, you will notice certain changes at your next appointment. We have made these changes to help protect our patients and staff, including:

Pre-screening of all patients prior to their appointment and again at the entrance to the office.

Temperature checks for patients upon entry of the clinic.

You will find hand sanitizer at the front door and throughout the office, as well as disposable facemasks that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.

Appointments will be staggered, and we will limit the number of patients in the practice area at any given time to allow for social distancing between patients and staff.

You will be asked to rinse with 1% hydrogen peroxide prior to your treatment.

Extra time scheduled between patients’ appointments to allow thorough cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and equipment.

Daily fitness to work screen of all staff members.

Additional personal protective equipment (PPE) for all staff.

We look forward to seeing you again very soon and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Our focus is on taking appropriate steps to make sure all our patients and staff feel safe and comfortable within our practice. Your oral health remains tremendously important to us and we look forward to taking care of you during this challenging time and well into the future.
